Hi, I'm Tiffany, and I'm going to talk about this eye design. This design is really great for busier events where you need something quick, but also for events with older kids, teenagers, and adults. As you can see, this is a very dainty kind of designnot super childish or overly simplistic.

One thing to keep in mind when doing designs like this is to make sure, as you can see, I don't twist and turn my brush at all. I keep my brush in one straight motion. That really helps ensure the colors don't get muddy. While this design is green, you're definitely able to do other colors. Right here, I just took a little bit of water to give it a watercolor effect.

Coming up here, I'm going to be adding a stencil.

One thing to keep in mind when using stencils with face painting is that you need the paint to be stickynot wet. If the paint is wet, it'll seep underneath the stencil. The paint needs to be sticky to make the stencil come out crisp. I've been doing this for six years, and I still have stenciled designs that don't come out looking as good as I want them to. It's definitely an art form in itself. As you can see right here, I even had some paint that slid under the stencil.

This design is pretty simpleit's really just three different paints: one stroke white and an orangish-gold paint. Like I said, it's a very quick thing to do at super busy events. One thing to keep in mind is that the less you have to rinse and sanitize your brush, the faster you'll be. If you're able to do a design with minimal color changes, it's going to make you even faster.

The reason speed is important is that I've found parents often have a hard time getting their kids to wait in line for a decent amount of time. Also, a lot of the time at these events, people are paying a ticketed price to get in, and they don't want to spend their whole time waiting in line. If you're able to be as fast as possible, it helps you get as much done in a short amount of time as possible. I can tell you that parents really appreciate when you're able to paint fast.

This video is actually a special occasion because my teenage daughter really doesn't let me paint her face anymore. As you can see right there, she was telling me she doesn't want any chunky glitter because she doesn't like putting it on her face. It's so funny because when I first started my business, she absolutely loved getting her face painted, but now she doesn't. Thankfully, I have a seven-year-old daughter who absolutely loves getting her face painted, so it makes it so the teenager doesn't have to anymore.

If I were doing this design on someone else, I would add gold chunky glitter to the design. That would really elevate it and make it look even more like a St. Patrick's Day design.
