🕸️Step 1: Create the Base

Use a #20 flat brush and load it with 10g One Stroke Refill – Tiger.

Paint an “S” shape on the upper side of the face—this will be the base for your spider web. The gradient color gives your web a warm, glowing background that makes the design pop.

🕸️ Step 2: Paint the Spider Web

Now it’s time to create the web pattern. Use your #4 round brush and dip it into black face paint. Following the reference image, draw curved lines starting from the top of the “S” shape and connecting them down toward the lowest point.

Now it’s time to create the web pattern.

Keep your spacing even and consistent so the lines intersect naturally and the web structure looks neat and realistic.

🕷️ Step 3: Paint the Spider’s Body

Time to add the star of this spider face painting—the spider itself!

Use your finger sponge and dab red face paint to create the body shape.

If you don’t have a sponge, a round brush works too—simply paint a small oval for the body and a smaller circle for the head.

🕷️ Step 4: Add Legs and Details

With your #4 round brush and black paint, outline the spider’s body and draw eight legs.

Vary the pressure on your brush to make the legs look jointed and natural.

Don’t forget to paint the eyes using small dots of black.

✨ Step 5: Highlight the Spider

Use a #00 detail brush dipped in white to add highlights.

Apply small strokes on the legs, head, and body to make the spider look shiny and dimensional.

A few white dots near the eyes can bring your spider to life!

💧 Step 6: Optional Finishing Touches

To make your spider extra special:

  • Add tiny white dots at the intersections of the web to mimic dew drops.
  • Shade under the spider’s legs with a bit of diluted black for a 3D shadow effect.
  • Brush on fine glitter or metallic powder for a magical, sparkly finish.
  • Once your design is complete, set it with a light mist of setting spray to make it last through hours of fun!
